The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a resourceful, organized, and caring Home Health Scheduler with mid-level experience for a full-time role. This position plays a key role in managing and organizing our patient care schedules, liaising between patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, and ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage patient schedules for home health services.
- Liaise between nurses, physicians, and therapists to set up patient schedules.
- Manage cancellations or schedule changes and promptly communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor patient progress and update the schedule as requested by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Home Health Scheduler or similar role in healthcare industry.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of medical terminologies and multi-line phone systems.
- Proficiency in electronic health record software.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) or similar certification.
- Experience using scheduling software specific to home healthcare agencies.
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Bilingual: Spanish-speaking is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
