Lighthouse owns and operates Spero Housing Group, a subsidiary non-profit dedicated specifically to developing and operating high quality affordable and supportive housing for persons of low and moderate income, as well as HandUp, a community and crowdfunding platform serving 100+ homeless service agencies and their clients across the United States.

Position Summary

Lighthouse is seeking a highly-motivated and organized Fund Development Database and Systems Operations Manager to support development operations. This role is responsible for all data surrounding constitutent management and platforms, including Raiser's Edge, DonorSearch, and Constant Contact, This position manages data pertaining to monetary giving for the organization, gift entry and acknowledgment of donations, reporting, rearch and data analysis, maintains data integrity and works closely with our financial accounting department. This position is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as Raiser’s Edge Systems Administrator to ensure accurate and timely processing of gifts, pledges, pledge reminders, payments, and receipts.
  • Manage the use of the Raiser’s Edge database to ensure the integrity of all database functions including maintaining users and security settings
  • Manage data in Raiser’s Edge donor database to ensure record accuracy and completeness, including:
    • Create and update constituent records
    • Record donations and pledges accurately utilizing appropriate appeal codes
    • Manage all aspects of gift entry: online, batch, in-kind, recurring gifts, pledges, sponsorships, grants, events, forms, etc.
    • Work with third party platforms including Benevity, OneCause, Facebook, etc.
    • Generate donor acknowledgement letters and gift receipts for cash and in-kind contributions within the required timeframe
  • Practice rigorous data hygiene to achieve and maintain clean current data for analysis
  • Maximize the functionality of the donor database by identifying and implementing best practices to most effectively manage all stakeholder data
  • Produce weekly gift and pledge reports for Development Team analysis
  • Create queries, exports and customized reports for development and marketing purposes
  • Leveraging DonorSearch, develop and deliver ongoing stewardship reports to facilitate a donor-centered approach to enhance retention and upgrades
  • Use experience and discretion when determining donor pipeline recommendations to inform portfolio adjustments
  • Develop and implement a “Moves Management System” for creating pipelines for major gifts, and tracking sponsorships and grants both within RE NXT and ResearchPoint as appropriate
  • Track, measure, and monitor donor giving pyramid and "Moves Management System" to enhance portfolio work
  • Manage reporting for the development department by running queries and exports on grant tracking, direct mail, donation revenue status, prospect analysis, and more
  • Act as the primary lead for donor database projects, updates, and conversions, including but not limited to planning, implementation, and training staff
  • Serve as primary liaison on behalf of the Development Team with finance and accounting staff to ensure donor care policies, processes and procedures are maintained updated, and adhered to, and conduct conducting biweekly reconciliation, gift amendments, pledge documentations, and more
  • Work closely with IT and Blackbaud support on any software issues, new software implementation, etc.
  • Uphold organizational values to maintain a safe, client-centered, and inclusive environment for clients, staff, interns, and volunteers
  • Maintain and manage Constant Contact account; work with team to schedule and send general and segmented messages

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • 2-4 year's experience in a role directly related to database support and/or data entry, preferably Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
  • Ability to learn complex data entry codes and procedures quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
  • Ability to use tact, discretion, and good judgment in working with confidential information
  • Collaborative team player who is positive and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced nonprofit environment
  • Flexibility and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and donors
  • Demonstrate reliability, responsiveness, and courtesy in all team and donor interactions
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team; is proactive and self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSW from a 4-year accredited college or university or master’s degree in a related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in a role directly related to database support and/or data entry, preferably Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience
  • Experience with the Raiser's Edge and DonorSearch
  • Ability to self-regulate and work independently while coordinating with other staff
  • Proven ability to work effectively with racially and ethnically diverse clients and teams
  • Ability to build consensus and resolve conflict; exhibits willingness to have difficult conversations
  • Exceptional communication ability, both written and oral
