The Role:

Liftopia is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to grow our consumer-facing presence through social and content channels. This is a significant role within the company and has primary responsibility for setting the tone of all our outbound messaging. We are looking for someone who can both set the strategic planning for our content initiatives and execute on them. The ideal candidate has a strong balance of strategic planning, creative-thinking, analytic skills, and project management. All candidates need to have broad-based skills and be flexible as responsibility focus shifts throughout the year with our seasonal business.



  • Manage presence on social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with the goal to grow our fan/follower base and increase engagement. Monitor day- to-day performance and seek opportunities to optimize and enhance strategies. Work with other marketing team-members to field re-marketing and other direct response campaigns on social platforms.

  • Own planning and execution of Liftopia’s high-profile blog. Set the editorial calendar and coordinate with our team of freelance writers to generate ongoing content to engage our current audience and to drive new organic search traffic. Regularly write, proofread, and edit blog stories, always keeping an eye out for compelling ski-industry news.

  • Work with other staff and external PR agency to coordinate larger consumer marketing initiatives such as our annual Best in Snow awards.

  • Develop new consumer-facing marketing initiatives.

  • Build relationships with blogger and influencer communities and identify opportunities for partnerships.



  • 3-5 years experience managing social media and other content platforms for a consumer-facing online brand

  • Experience setting editorial calendars and coordinating external content providers

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with an engaging written voice

  • Past work experience that required analytic thinking and data-driven decision making such as A/B testing and analysis of pivot tables

  • Demonstrated proficiency with WordPress, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Analytics (or similar), Microsoft Office Suite (or similar), and other social scheduling and management tools

  • Basic ability to manage media such as image resizing and cropping

  • Highly collaborative team player. Get the job done attitude. Celebrate and participate equally in your own and other’s success.


Bonus Points:

  • Intermediate or better design skills

  • Experience using or administering a digital assets management (DAM) package

  • Experience managing direct response campaigns such as paid search, re-marketing, and email

  • Experience sourcing video and managing a YouTube channel
