Founded in 2005, Liftopia operates Liftopia.com, the largest online marketplace for ski tickets, and Cloud Store, a full service white label e-commerce platform for ticketing businesses built on a foundation of revenue management. Cloud Store is now used by 120+ ski areas, water parks, museums and ticketed attractions in the US and Europe.
As the Manager of our Analytics team, you will oversee a small but critically important team tasked with supporting Sales and partners by leveraging industry and historical data. You will drive the strategy to make recommendations, define and refine key metrics, create dashboards and standardized reporting, and provide ad-hoc analysis to help our Sales Team be more effective and our partners earn more revenue. You will create, influence, and optimize our partners’ pricing strategies using Liftopia’s proprietary pricing model. You’ll need a creative approach to communicating data, a focus on the details, and an eagerness to support the analytics that drive our business. You will help us take incremental steps in measuring the success of, refining the performance of, and improving the self-service of our pricing model. You will take how we visualize and share data to the next level for our internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the Analytics Team in the development and deployment of tools to analyze large data sets and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights in our data.
Manage day-to-day workload and prioritization of the team. Oversee the data request and pricing creation process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization of tasks, etc.
Provide guidance on pricing models and analyses produced by the Enablement & Analytics Team as well as provide overall team mentorship.
Identify key questions, problems, and KPIs to power stickier relationships with existing partners and speed the acquisition of new partners.
Oversee and improve access to actionable data through dashboards, visualizations and other tools for both partners and internal users.
Support the creation and analysis of inventory pricing and inventory creation for our partners.
Drive the continuous improvement cycle that we use to refine our pricing tools.
Help monitor and improve our dynamic pricing model to maximize revenue.
Work cross functionality, particularly with our Product Development Team, to productize aspects of our pricing creation process, reports, and visualizations.
Showcase Liftopia’s analytics through industry thought-leadership via whitepapers, case studies, and conference and partner presentations.
Excited by diverse projects that could span from analysis of our sales funnel to diving into customer behavior or rewriting the existing code for analytics team tools.
5+ years of relevant professional experience with an emphasis on SaaS business strategy, reporting and analytics, and 2 years managing a team.
A strong quantitative background, whether obtained through a degree in a related field ( Business, Finance, Econ, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
Strong SQL fluency, competency using modern BI tools and visualization technology.
Programming experience with Python Data Science packages like pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
Strong project management skills.
Understanding of statistical analysis using statistical packages similar to R, SAS, or Pandas.
Experience solving real-world data problems with code (Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and Python or R).
Data first philosophy but can also make decisions in ambiguous situations.
Strong communication skills--in presentations, writing, and verbally--with a demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings to non-analysts and executive decision-makers.
The ability to manage multiple project streams simultaneously, and a propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way.
Passion for championing data-driven decision making across all parts of an organization.
Bonus Points for:
Work experience in e-commerce, travel, and/or hospitality, particularly with a focus on pricing and revenue management.
Experience working closely with or on Product teams.
Familiarity and experience with any of the tools in our current stack: Salesforce, Google Analytics, Looker, Amplitude, Redshift.
