Job Description

We're looking for a data-driven Head of Marketing to scale our relationships with skiers and snowboarders, and grow Liftopia.com to be the largest ski brand on the planet. 


About the Company: 

Founded in 2005 in San Francisco, Liftopia runs Liftopia.com, the largest seller of ski tickets, and Cloud Store, a pricing and e-commerce platform for ticketing businesses. Built on a foundation of revenue management, our innovative e-commerce, yield management, and business intelligence tools power Liftopia.com, the largest consumer marketplace for ski and snowboard experiences in North America. Our Cloud Store product provides full service, white label e-commerce for +110 ski areas, water parks, museums and ticketed attractions. Liftopia also offers Pricing as a Service and analytics for high volume ticketing businesses looking to maximize e-commerce revenue and have a true understanding of pricing performance.  

With headquarters in San Francisco, we currently have 45 full-time employees in the US, Switzerland and Germany. 

 

About the Job:

The Head of Marketing will drive growth and retention for Liftopia.com and influence our product and strategy to scale our brand globally. This leader will bring a passion for performance marketing & developing world-class marketing teams. As a member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the primary responsibility for this person is to shape the future of our consumer brand but this person will also influence the expansion of our full service e-commerce and pricing products working closely with our analytics/sales teams.

You want to use your experience to build the global ski brand. You are excited to build a relationship with millions of customers who have already bought from us. You know that together we can get to know every skier and snowboarder on the planet. You love sharing your passion for the mountains with others as much as you love the mountains themselves. You care about the quality of your work and are incredibly comfortable communicating, even when things are uncomfortable. Responsibilities:

  • Get your hands dirty to acquire new customers, increase LTV of existing customers, testing and iterating along the way

  • Manage all aspects of our marketing programs including the team, process, reporting, budgeting and all marketing channels from SEM to display to social to ones we’ve yet to learn from you 

  • Manage the growth of our native mobile products and entwine the growth strategies of our native mobile with our legacy web products

  • Manage the launch of new consumer products

  • Manage all marketing team hiring, coaching, and performance

  • Advocate for and represent the marketing team within the greater organization

  • Provide marketing support for our sales team 


Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of performance marketing experience as an individual contributor within a technology company

  • At least 3 years of experience leading marketing teams and managing individual contributors

  • At least 3 years of product marketing experience

  • Deep experience with performance, data-driven acquisition, growth and retention marketing

  • Experience devising, deploying and measuring omni-channel growth strategies using marketing automation tools like Braze 

  • Experience managing third party vendors with specific areas of expertise that are not your own

  • Phenomenal communication skills

  • Experience launching and growing native mobile businesses

  • Experience growing brand(s) internationally

  • Familiarity with two-sided marketplace products

  • Experience with hosted e-commerce products

  • Experience within the travel industry

  • Experience in international expansion

  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, the mountains and sharing experiences with others
