European Sales - Market Manager / Account Director

The Role:  

As we expands our business in the European market, we are building a high-performance Sales Team based in Swizerland to help grow our footprint. We're looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and French-speaking sales and account development professional to drive our lift operator and summer attractions growth efforts in the European Alps. The Market Manager will recruit top ski resorts, attractions and industry organizations to help Liftopia establish new partnerships, implement those partnerships, and support partner growth day-to-day. The Market Manager will also be responsible for driving regional strategy in partnership with the Liftopia leadership team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of our e-commerce and dynamic pricing solutions for ski lift operators and attractions in French speaking regions of Europe, with a focus on growing our portfolio, developing long-lasting e-commerce partnerships, and obtaining high-quality ticket inventory.

  • Prospecting will be your biggest initial focus, using email and phone to reach out to new potential partners and close new business.

  • Provide day-to-day account management and drive revenue-growth initiatives with all partners in the region.

  • Work cross-functionally and in partnership with the Director and VP of Sales to own the ski and attractions partner acquisition, contract negotiation, revenue plan, and growth strategy, with a focus on optimizing the breadth and depth of partners and ticket inventory.

  • Travel to ski areas and attractions to meet with partners or prospects. Be the face of Liftopia at industry conferences and shows and represent the company in the region whenever necessary.

  • Research prospective partners and prioritize outreach. Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on specific market needs.

  • Train partners on all Liftopia platform tools and provide ongoing platform support.

  • Collaborate with partners and Liftopia’s revenue management team to develop, create, and implement dynamic pricing plans. Evaluate, enhance, and report on partner performance.

  • Manage all post-sales activity for Liftopia’s partners through strong relationship-building, product knowledge, planning, and execution.



  • University Degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in consultative sales or business roles that required you to secure new partnerships, negotiate tough agreements, and maximize revenue opportunities with B2B partners, both large and small.

  • Experience working in the ski, travel, hospitality attractions or ticketing industries.  

  • Passion and enthusiasm for this role and what we're building.

  • Strong communication skills and sales instincts.

  • Contract negotiation experience.

  • Ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer term strategic planning/execution.

  • Experience managing travel budgets.

  • Some experience working with data and analytics to improve strategy.

  • Great troubleshooting skills and a desire to constantly make improvements to our process.

  • Entrepreneurial drive. You’re fearless about doing whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means working long hours and weekends during certain times of the year.

  • A great teammate. We are a highly-organized and efficient team. You should be extremely well-organized and comfortable collaborating with your team to solve diverse customer inquiries and issues.
