Account Executive, Water Parks & Attractions

The Role:

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced sales professional to drive our expansion into the water park and summer attractions industry. You will be responsible for selling our ecommerce ticketing platform and services to mid-size water parks and larger attractions that are looking to increase their advanced purchase revenue, leverage revenue management and dynamic pricing strategies, and provide a better online buying experience for their customers. Liftopia currently powers ecommerce for several water parks and retails tickets for several summer attractions, and you will be the first sales employee focused solely on growing this vertical. This will require prospecting, attending tradeshows, selling, and managing existing partners that you bring on board. As the first summer focused sales person, you will also be responsible for driving the strategy for this segment in partnership with the Liftopia leadership team.

A few of the things you’ll do in this role:

  • Drive sales of our ecommerce and pricing solutions with waterparks and attractions in North America, with a focus on growing our portfolio, developing long lasting ecommerce partnerships, negotiate agreements, and obtaining high-quality ticket inventory.

  • Provide day to day account management and drive revenue growth initiatives with water park and attraction partners.

  • Help develop successful product and pricing strategies for our partners, rooted in data analytics.

  • Travel to water parks or other attraction destinations to meet with top partners or prospects. Bring your (swim) suit, but leave your tie.

  • Work cross-functionally, in partnership with the VP of Sales, to drive the water park and attractions strategy, with a focus on optimizing the breadth and depth of partnerships.

  • Train partners on the use of our platform tools and manage inventory when necessary.

  • Be the face of Liftopia at industry conferences and shows and represent the company whenever necessary.

Our Ideal Candidate for this role has:

  • 3+ years of experience in consultative sales or business development roles that required you to secure new partnerships, negotiate agreements, and maximize revenue opportunities with B2B partners.

  • Proven ability to manage relationships and provide strong service to partner accounts.

  • Experience working with water park and/or summer attraction businesses.

  • Strong communication skills and sales instincts.

  • An ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer term strategic planning/execution.

  • Some experience working with data and analytics to improve strategy.

  • Demonstrated creative problem solving experience.

  • Passion and enthusiasm for this role and what we're building.

  • You’re fearless about doing what it takes to get the job done and find a path forward, even when the path isn’t always clear.

Bonus Points for:

  • SaaS experience.

  • Entrepreneurial or startup experience.

  • Revenue management experience in ticketing or travel.

  • Experience working remotely and independently – you’ll prioritize and manage yourself to get things done with minimal oversight.

  • Current relationships with decision makers in the water parks / summer attractions industry.
