Built on a foundation of revenue management, our innovative e-commerce, yield management, and business intelligence tools power Cloud Store, a full service, white label e-commerce platform used by over 110 ski areas, water parks, museums and ticketed attractions. Liftopia combines world-class software with unmatched service and analytics to help our partners grow their online pre-sale revenue, learn more about their purchasers and make the ticket buying process easier for customers and employees.

With headquarters in San Francisco, we currently have 45 full-time employees in the US, France, Switzerland and Germany. 


The Role:

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced sales professional to drive our strategic account development efforts in North America. The Account Director will work with top ski resorts, attractions and ownership groups in North America to help Liftopia acquire and improve lift ticket inventory, upsell our services, optimize pricing strategy, and grow partner relationships. The Account Director will also be responsible for driving account strategy in partnership with the Liftopia leadership team.

A few of the things you’ll do in this role:

  • Drive sales and account management initiatives with the largest and most strategic ski resorts and attractions in North America with a focus on developing long lasting e-commerce partnerships and obtaining high quality unique ticket inventory that will bring the best deals to our users.

  • Develop deep relationships with partners of all different backgrounds and personalities across the globe with the goal of creating bonds that transcend day-to-day business. Ability to handle meetings during après ski helps.

  • Be the CEO of your book of business. Work cross-functionally, in partnership with the VP of Sales, to own the acquisition, revenue and management strategy with your accounts, with a focus on optimizing the breadth and depth of inventory available to consumers

  • Negotiate distributions agreements.

  • Be the face of Liftopia at industry conferences and shows and represent the company whenever necessary.

  • Travel to partner locations and trade shows to meet with top partners or prospects.

  • Help us develop successful product and pricing strategies for our partners, rooted in data analytics.

  • Train partners on use of our platform tools, load and manage inventory when necessary.

  • Help Liftopia leadership drive new business by participating or leading key projects.

  • Provide peer leadership. Be the right hand to the VP of Sales in providing training, mentoring and cross-functional partnership.


Our ideal candidate for this role has:

  • 5+ years of experience in consultative sales or business development roles that required you to secure and grow partnerships, negotiate tough agreements and maximize revenue opportunities with large b2b partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex business partnerships across multi-location enterprises with complex decision making structures

  • Experience working in travel, hospitality or ticketing 

  • Experience with Software as a Service

  • Strong communication skills and sales instincts

  • Contract negotiating experience

  • An ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer term strategic planning/execution

  • Experience working remote and independently – you’ll prioritize and manage yourself to get things done with minimal oversight

  • Experience managing travel and entertainment budgets

  • Some experience working with data and analytics to improve strategy

  • Passion and enthusiasm for this role and what we're building

  • Demonstrated creative problem solving experience 

  • You’re fearless about doing whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means working long hours and weekends during certain times of the year.
