  • Drive strategy and vision for Life360’s data science and machine learning efforts (i.e., how do we turn the massive amount of data we collect from our tens of millions of users into valuable user-facing features?)
  • Build complex data sets from multiple data sources, both internally and externally
  • Research and implement novel machine learning algorithms and workflows
  • Scale new algorithms to large data sets
  • Coordinate with the broader organization to ensure that the benefits of data science are well understood and make it into all parts of our product


  • 2+ years of experience delivering and scaling machine learning products
  • Demonstrable proficiency in coding (Python, Spark, and R preferred) and programming concepts
  • Statistical Modeling Skills: training, testing, improving/tuning models - interpreting data research and applying to ML problems
  • Strong command of structured Data (SQL): for analysis/research and for productionizing ML model outputs
  • Experience wrangling unstructured messy data and building out initial data pipelines
  • Experience with production-level data processing platforms
  • Knowledge of deep learning algorithms a plus
  • Experience working on commercial search/recommendation engines a plus
  • Experience working on anomaly detection a plus
  • Product Management experience a big plus
  • BS degree in a quantitative/technical field. An advanced degree is preferred
