Role: Financial Operations Manager, Latin America

Lenddo’s finance team members are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting and finance responsibilities at Lenddo. In the Financial Operations Manager role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the financial operation for Lenddo’s Colombia and Mexico businesses.  This includes documenting and enforcing policies and procedures related to the loan accounting, general ledger accounts closing process, use of cash, document storage and invoicing clients and customers.  You will manage team members in Colombia and, eventually in other locations, to ensure their compliance with the procedures, timely completion of their tasks, and compliance of all regulatory, tax and accounting regulations in the respective country.  You will report to the Director of Finance, based in New York City.  Working with the Director of Finance you will establish daily, monthly and quarterly closing processes for both businesses and provide accurate and compliant financial statements to the Director of Finance.  On an ad hoc basis, you will assist the Director of Finance in recommending new systems and technologies for the streamlining the financial operation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Operations

  1. Review daily and weekly reconciliation of bank statements with loan accounting software

  2. Oversee monthly closing of accounts for Lenddo Colombia including reconciliation of loan accounts with general ledge

  3. Manage relationship with local auditor and accounting consultants

  4. Make recommendations to Director of Finance for tax and accounting strategies for the benefit of the Lenddo Group, specifically pertaining to accounting practices in Colombia and Mexico

  5. Manage relationship with Mexico bookkeeper including transmitting all policies and procedures, chart of accounts and account booking policies

  6. Develop procedures for invoicing clients each month and ensure proper booking, collection, and reimbursement within Lenddo group of companies (with Director of Finance)

  7. Assist with audit, regulatory and tax paperwork

  8. Ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by Director of Finance to make the financial operation for streamlined, accurate and efficient

Candidate Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with excellent academic background. MBA preferred.

  • 5-7 years experience in a professional setting in finance or operations

  • Familiarity with accounting principles in Colombia.  In other Latam countries, a plus.

  • International business experience, ideally in English-speaking, multinational environment.

  • Experienced with and ability to learn new technology

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
