PPC Account Manager

Job Description

The leader in online vacation rentals is seeking a PPC Account Manager to play a critical role in the optimization, maintenance and growth of the paid search program. The successful candidate must be analytical, organized and self motivated, while maintaining good interpersonal and communication skills 

The PPC Account Manager will be responsible for assisting in building the paid search program from its current state, with new projects and ideas for increasing conversion and targeted traffic to the network of VacationRoost travel websites. The PPC Account Manager will work directly with the Sr. SEM Manager in order to improve performance and overall ROI of the program while helping to oversee the company’s PPC initiatives. 
  • Manage the day to day running of PPC marketing campaigns, including keyword search and bid management 
  • Prepare and report analysis of activity 
  • Utilize best practice of PPC marketing to achieve company initiatives 
  • Be the PPC Champion for the company with a rigorous commitment to measuring keyword performance 
  • Oversee account spending projects from inception to completion, reviewing plans, deliverables and results 
  • Present key results to senior staff, product managers and developers 
  • Research and study best practice PPC techniques and approaches and ensure that they are implemented across the VacationRoost websites 
  • Manage large accounts in both Google Adwords and Microsoft Advertising Center 
  • Integrate with the VR Interactive team, cross functional company staff and be a team player 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel 
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and experience required 
  • 1 year + experience in PPC accounts, ideally Google Adwords or similar platform 
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior management levels 
  • Familiarity with basic web analytics such as Google and Omniture 
  • Online e-commerce industry experience a plus 
  • Strong interest and aptitude for technology and emerging search industry trends 
  • Must be able to work in both a team environment and individually 
  • Self-motivated - must be able to seek out new projects and tasks without specific direction 
  • Strong accountability and commitment to excellence 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hi-growth e-commerce company culture 
  • Able to keep a sense of humor amidst changing priorities
