Senior Systems Administrator / IT Manager

What we are looking for:

A highly experienced Systems Administrator / IT Manager with a proven track record in network administration and policy creation. You will be responsible for administration, installation, implementation, operations of our IT infrastructure (hardware, software, network, telephony, and facilities).  The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for data compliance and security standards as well as overall IT and security policies for the enterprise. We want a leader who also likes to get in and get the work done. You will lead a small IT team in a dynamic and fun environment.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Deploy and maintain network infrastructure within private cloud and AWS to support the business needs

  • Administer Active Directory, Office 365 Online deployment, and all other business critical systems

  • Perform system upgrades and patches

  • Automate and administer data backup and recovery activities

  • Define, implement and ensure adherence of IT usage and security policies

  • Define and implement disaster recovery procedures

  • Define, share, and ensure that system administration and security best practices are being followed

  • Establish processes and systems to monitor the health and auditability of IT infrastructure.

  • Support of PCI-DSS, SOC-2, and PII compliance efforts across the enterprise

  • Review infrastructure costs, contracts with vendors, and assist in negotiating services

  • Create tools and processes to optimize and maintain systems

  • Document network architecture, policies, and procedures

  • Support company employees in a technical support capacity for both Apple and Windows systems

  • Manage and/or lead a small team while continuing to be an individual contributor

  • Have a customer oriented mindset in your approach to your work


  • 3+ years as a Sr. Systems Administrator with overall responsibility for IT SLAs, security, and governance.

  • Experience implementing policies and systems infrastructure to support PCI-DSS, SOC2, or ISO 27001 standards.

  • Expertise in security best practices for internal networks and cloud deployed systems

  • Hands-on experience and expertise with:

    • Network, and Linux/Unix administration

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and highly scalable architectures

    • Office 365 online and/or Google G-Suite

    • Active Directory in a mixed (Mac and Windows) environment

    • Sharepoint administration and creation of taxonomies

    • Digital phone system configuration and administration

    • Orchestration, containers, and other VM-related technologies


  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions highly desired

  • Experience as a manager of IT staff highly desired.

  • Knowledge of Javascript, Python, or another scripting language highly desired

  • Knowledge of scripting with Unix Shell highly desired

  • Effective time management required
