Help disabled vets and their families by volunteering
Marketing | Los Angeles, CA | Volunteer
In 2008, Operation Confidence discovered a large community of wounded and disabled veterans living in their wheelchairs on Skid Row in Los Angeles, still wearing portions of their military uniforms and displaying pieces of the American flag. It was at that time the Board of Directors made a commitment to do its part to help this forgotten population.
Help disabled vets and their families by volunteering for 2 hours a week (or more) to support Operation Confidence with their yearly fundraiser. This year’s event will be held on a Carnival Cruise line, and will take place on Friday May 18th, 2018.
Operation Confidence is working with L.A. Works to expand on their marketing efforts and assist even more veterans in Los Angeles.
- Volunteers are needed to assist with graphic design, videography, social media, and other marketing tasks.
- Weekly check-ins and regular communication with Executive Director required.
- Those with experience in marketing, communications or advertising are welcome to apply.
- Please list anything that makes working for your company unique or special - i.e. Can people work from home, do you offer special benefits (company car, expense account, stock options, etc).Schedule is flexible, 2+ hours each week until the completion of the project. This is a remote volunteer role, and volunteers may need to be mindful of deadlines.
