Junior Project Manager - Data Governance & PMO

Job Description

LSA is looking for a Junior Project Manager that will be part of an engagement team that is overseeing and refining the project portfolio governance. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for supporting other team members and leading small efforts within the engagement responsible for supporting an Information Technology department’s Program Management Office (PMO) and its related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team’s Governance operations by maintaining project-related data in tools (Azure DevOps Boards, Clarizen), Microsoft SharePoint, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Engage directly with the client, and their external service providers
  • Manage changing priorities effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Lead and manage project work using Waterfall or Agile techniques
  • Conduct analysis of client data sets
  • Recognize and mitigate threats to successful project delivery
  • Contribute to the creation of team deliverables
  • Manage and lead workshops, training, and meetings to their planned objectives and outcomes
  • Utilize and enhance reports and dashboards to promote data-driven governance compliance
  • Prepare status reports for regular portfolio reviews and leadership updates

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Data analysis and metrics, process documentation, process improvement
  • IT project management or PMO experience
  • Project management software experience (e.g. Azure DevOps Boards, Clarizen)
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Word)
  • Four years of consulting experience, preferably with a large firm
  • BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

 Preferred:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (knowledge of tables, formulas--including data formatting, lookups, and “if” statements; and pivot tables)
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills (skill with data presentation and creating/editing custom graphics)
  • Agile and Project Management skills and Agile Scrum methodology
