System Test Engineer

About Us:

Kumu Networks is revolutionizing the way wireless systems are built using an innovative full-duplex wireless design that its co-founders developed in their research at Stanford. Wireless full-duplex allows a radio to transmit and receive signals at the same time using a single frequency channel. Kumu's patent pending full-duplex technology changes the basic assumptions on which current wireless radios are built, allowing for improved performance and reduced complexity across a variety of wireless devices and markets. What you'll do:

  • Develop test plans to validate design intent and characterize product performance
  • Travel to support customer engagements in the field, deploying the world's first full-duplex systems
  • Plot data and generate reports, introduce new tools and processes for design verification
  • Set-up and maintain testbeds for QA regression builds
  • Design and bring up test fixtures for engineering
  • Develop automated tests in python and C++
  • Leverage and add to Kumu's state-of-the-art technology

 Experience we'd like to see:

  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Knowledge of networking protocols like UDP and TCP
  • Expertise in test and script development (Python, C++)
  • Working knowledge of test equipment and test automation, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, radio call boxes, thermal chambers, and/or other test equipment
  • Must have great EE fundamentals (EE or CS preferred)
  • Must be proficient in system level debug of wireless communication systems
  • Understanding of wireless protocols and their constraints is a plus
  • Production test experience is plus
