RF Hardware Test Technician

As the test technician at Kumu Networks, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities, ranging from bring-up and debug of novel digital and RF hardware, to building new prototypes for experimental systems. You will manage the entire testing process for new hardware, including test equipment, supplies, tools, and components. You will work with a team of software, hardware, and test engineers in new product introduction, testing boards and systems as they arrive and are brought up. Experience and knowledge of basic RF principles is desired. Experience with scripting languages like Python is a plus.



  • Utilize lab equipment, supplies, tools, and components to test new hardware

  • Managing NPI and ECO flows for existing hardware, document testing procedures and results

  • Bring-up / debug new RF and Digital hardware

  • Participate in system design, prototype builds


  • 5+ years working in a hardware lab

  • Experience with debug and bring-up of new hardware

  • Proficiency in hardware test methods and use of signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes preferred.

  • Experience working with and assembling hardware systems (mechanical & electrical hardware)

  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work within a team

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred


  • Exposure to programming languages like Python, used for test automation/development
