Our St. Louis office is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Office Cleaner & Maintenance Specialist to maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized workspace for our team.

This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) is essential to maintaining our professional environment and supporting our team's productivity. The ideal candidate takes pride in their cleaning skills and understands that a well-maintained office directly contributes to workplace satisfaction and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Regular Cleaning Duties:
    • Thoroughly clean and sanitize office areas including workstations, meeting rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms
    • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard floors
    • Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and surfaces
    • Empty and clean waste receptacles and recycling bins
    • Clean glass surfaces, windows, and mirrors
    • Sanitize high-touch surfaces including door handles, light switches, and shared equipment
  • Kitchen/Break Area Maintenance:
    • Clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, and appliances
    • Maintain organization of kitchen storage areas
    • Stock and organize refreshments and snack stations
    • Load/unload dishwasher and hand-wash items as needed
    • Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies (paper towels, dish soap, etc.)
  • Supply Management:
    • Monitor cleaning supplies and office refreshments
    • Maintain organized storage areas for supplies
    • Communicate with office manager regarding supply needs
  • General Office Upkeep:
    • Ensure meeting rooms are reset after use
    • Maintain orderly appearance of common areas
    • Perform light maintenance tasks as needed
    • Assist with special cleaning projects periodically

Qualifications:

  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness
  • Reliable and consistent work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs)
  • Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning products
  • Professional, positive attitude and good communication skills
