Job Description

About Us

KiwiCo is an innovative ecommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. Committed to helping young innovators build their creative confidence and problem-solving skills, we offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers curated hands-on projects to kids ages 0-16+. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve. We’re backed by leading investors, and we were named one of the “20 Startups to Watch” by Business Insider. Our offices are located in Los Altos.

Role

KiwiCo is seeking a Voice Actor to work with us on a part-time contract basis (remote is ok) to help us with voiceover narration for ongoing production of online ads and content videos. We’re looking for an experienced voice actor with a relaxed tone to fit our friendly brand style. (See www.youtube.com/tinkercrate for samples.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Recording scripts with quick turnaround on your own equipment, delivering digital audio files with takes for review, and incorporating feedback to complete a final version. (Record WAV stereo, 48 kHz, 24 bit.)

  • Providing options on phrasing and tone as appropriate to help us achieve a natural tone aligned with our brand.

  • Work closely with marketing and content teams to deliver a cohesive final product.

Required Qualifications

Since this position is remote, candidates must have access to recording equipment, with the ability to record and deliver their own digital audio files. Candidates must also be comfortable communicating and collaborating with a team over chat, email, and video calls. We seek team players with an infectious positive energy, great initiative, and a get-it-done attitude.

Required skills and responsibilities:

  • Experience. You have work experience as a voice actor and you know how to bring variety and a good energy level to your voice.

  • Communication skills. You have an understanding of how voiceover and visuals can work together to tell a story, and you can collaborate with your team to get to a great take.

  • Collaborative.  Able to give and receive feedback well.

In addition to your resume, please include a cover letter with a link to your demo reel and additional samples of your work.
