Responsibilities:

The Retail Sales Associate role at KiwiCo introduces our brands to our local community through our new store and maker space for kids. In this role, you’ll be guiding customers as they shop for the perfect hands-on project for the young makers in their lives. By maintaining a creative and friendly retail space, you’ll be inspiring our community to visit, shop, and explore creativity with us!

  • Sell and introduce Kiwi Crate’s products and services to our customers

  • Manage visual merchandising, sales, and general store operations

  • Interact with our community, including kid product-testing sessions & in-store events

  • Provide thoughtful, constructive insight regarding customer needs

​Who you are: You're a maker at heart and love to be creative and work with kids. In addition, you're out-going, friendly, positive, proactive, creative, thoughtful, enthusiastic, trustworthy, and entrepreneurial with excellent judgment.

 

Requirements:

As a start-up celebrating creativity and development, we believe and encourage the same in our team. We seek team players with an infectious positive energy, great initiative, and a get-it-done attitude.

A minimum of 12 hours a week is desired, including Saturdays from 10am-5pm.

  • Experience.  Retail or customer service experience a plus. Experience working with kids is also helpful.

  • Passionate about customers.  You love developing relationships with customers, delighting them with your positive attitude and outstanding customer support skills.

  • Collaboration & communication skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. Partner and collaborate closely with marketing and inventory planning. Exceptional communication skills with customers and cross-functional team members.

  • Always learning. Thrives with customer insights and data. Manages product testing and store events with great organization.
