We are seeking an entrepreneurial, data-driven Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will be instrumental in helping to guide the company's strategic decisions through rigorous business and financial analysis and thinking. Successful candidates will possess deep analytical capabilities, offer a perspective, and demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across functional teams. Additionally, the candidate will be passionate for achieving practical business impact and is comfortable organizing and presenting insights. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Work with executive staff on improving and updating of company key success metrics, as well as monthly business / financial projection model
  • Combine great data analytics skills with strong business acumen to provide insights that will drive company growth
  • Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to track and measure the direct and indirect ROI (financial and user growth) of various product and marketing initiatives
  • Customer segmentation analysis around acquisition channels, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value
  • Take a proactive approach to defining metrics, reports, and dashboards, including development, maintenance and update of daily and monthly key metrics reports
  • Assist Finance team in gathering and analysis of financial data for monthly financial reporting
  • Provide actionable insights driven by sound quantitatively based analysis and clearly present findings
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for analysis and optimization of product flows and marketing initiatives
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to support key business needs

  • BA/BS in a quantitative major (math, engineering, economics, statistics, physics, etc.)
  • 2+ years of analytical experience from an investment bank, consulting firm, Fortune 500 or high growth startup
  • Enthusiastic and excited about data and its applications
  • Entrepreneurial, quick learner, and excited about data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and perseverance to find data from whatever sources are available
  • Advanced modeling skills using Excel, scenario analysis, pivot tables
  • Detail oriented with consistent error-free execution
  • Proficient with Powerpoint
  • Business savvy and comfortable presenting findings to executives
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately on multiple projects concurrently
  • BS/BA required


  • Actual experience working in Business Intelligence or data analysis roles
  • Finance or accounting experience
  • Strong domain knowledge of web/Internet metrics
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • MBA
