KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn; and arm them with the creative confidence and tools to change the world. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work.
Role and Responsibilities:
KiwiCo is seeking a Video/GFX Editor to take on responsibility for editing footage and building motion graphics to support our online content series and product videos, with a focus on fun, inspiring, and educational content for kids and families. In this role, you will:
Create fun, compelling content videos. Work closely with the content creation team to develop videos that are interesting, shareable, and fun to watch.
Establish brand identity and consistency through video and graphic styling.
Edit a variety of videos across KiwiCo's original series slate.
Build essential graphics toolkits and animations for marketing assets, social media videos, and content series
Assist in file organization and sharing across teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of video editing experience with strong Adobe Premiere skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced video production environment.
Strong storytelling skills. You have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, with the ability to construct a logical, compelling sequence with little directions.
Experience with creating and editing motion graphics and animations in Adobe AfterEffects.
Great communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally on creative projects. You are able to give and respond to feedback well, with experience moving projects through multiple iterations.
Strong organizational skills. You’re great at keeping a production running smoothly and you always keep your project files organized, tagged, and available for other team members.
A passion for creating experiences for kids and families that are educational, engaging, and, above all, fun!
Experience creating content for kids.
Experience editing tutorial-style and long-form videos.
Experience communicating complex science concepts through video / animation.
Experience in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
