Production Design Coordinator

KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn; and arm them with the creative confidence and tools to change the world. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work.
Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an extraordinary Production Design Coordinator to join our product team to create and deliver mechanicals and production ready files for some of our biggest product lines. If you love a fast pace and a collaborative work environment, we want to talk to you. In this role, you will:
Create final mechanical files for production with close attention to detail
Take responsibility for file proofing, formatting, naming, and preparation for final delivery
Implement the graphic designer’s requests and revisions quickly and accurately.
Ability to understand design guidelines to increase efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and in line with design specifications
Own and maintain a comprehensive library of design assets for reusable, systematic designs
Provide support on additional design and production tasks

Ability to adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and accuracy across a multitude of projects.
Broad operating range. Thinks strategically and has an impeccable eye for detail with a strong sense of visual hierarchy, typography, layout.
Hands-on, “get things done” mentality. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities on simultaneous projects.
Resourceful and flexible. Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects. Comfortable handling broad responsibilities on a small, nimble team.
Obsessively detail-oriented. Able to manage all the ordering details and meet a high bar for accuracy and quality.
Collaborative. Able to contribute to a cross-functional team whilst maintaining communication of feedback
High-level proficiency in Adobe Design Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator.
Experience with a startup or a creative team.
Strong design and layout skills with an impeccable eye for detail
Experience in production design for print and finished goods with textile or wood
