We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn; and arm them with the creative confidence and tools to change the world. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work.

Role and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator who is passionate about supporting our employees in our day-to-day HR operations, maintaining an internal culture our employees love and partnering with hiring teams to bring top talent to our fast growing team! We're looking for a self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable doer who loves order and organization. You are adept to finding solutions and accommodating diverse needs and responsibilities.

  • Serve as an ambassador for our culture; help us to manage projects that increase engagement, motivation, development, and retention.

  • Manage candidate scheduling for remote and in-person interviews, including travel if necessary.

  • Act as point of contact and advocate for candidates throughout the interview process.

  • Regularly manage candidate pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers to successfully drive candidates through the interview and offer process.

  • Support onboarding, offboarding, training, feedback surveys, and all other employee lifecycle events.

  • Be part of our organization-wide communication efforts and ensure initiatives and reminders are successfully communicated to employees.

  • Respond to internal and external human resources-related inquiries or requests in a timely and effective manner and provide assistance or redirect to an appropriate team member.

  • Support the People Ops team with various projects as needed.

Desired Qualifications

Successful People Operations Coordinator candidates will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-2 years experience working in People Operations or Human Resources or administrative capacity in a related field

  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases

  • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills; Excels at developing relationships across groups and functions at all levels of the organization including senior leadership

  • You have excellent project leadership skills and can keep track of deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups from meetings

  • Have an aptitude for learning new office applications quickly and efficiently

  • You are able to work with evolving systems and structures, demonstrating the flexibility to adapt to changing environments and regulations

  • You are willing to learn and are open to taking direction and feedback
