Job Description

About Us

KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. We offer kids seriously fun and deeply engaging ways to explore, create, and learn. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and additional creative content. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our offices are located in Mountain View, CA.

Role and Responsibilities:

KiwiCo is seeking an Editorial Coordinator to join our product team and take on responsibility for managing the editorial ordering workflow for some of our biggest product lines. If you love a fast pace, an organized to-do list, and a collaborative work environment, we want to talk to you. In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the sourcing, product design, and graphic design teams to revise and reorder files for our Panda Crate and Koala Crate lines, as well as for our Store products.

  • Manage project timelines using our Airtable-based project management system.

  • Support user testing to ensure that instructions are clear, accurate, and provide a great experience to our customers.

  • Ensure that editorial and branding standards are followed.

Required Qualifications

We design our products to help kids learn and grow, and we want that for our team as well. Our design and editorial process is driven by cross-functional collaboration, customer feedback, and creative problem-solving. We value positive energy, flexibility, and a get-it-done attitude. For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:

  • Obsessively detail-oriented. Able to manage all the ordering details and meet a high bar for accuracy and quality.

  • Collaborative. Able to contribute to a cross-functional team and to both give and receive feedback. Highly skilled at both written and verbal communication.

  • Resourceful and flexible. Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects. Comfortable handling broad responsibilities on a small, nimble team.

  • Experienced in project management. Work (or school) experience with a deadline-driven environment, ideally as part of a creative team.

  • Eager to learn. Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with a startup or a creative team.

  • Writing or editing experience, formal or informal.

  • Experience in education, formal or informal.

If you’re passionate about delivering innovative, delightful, and enriching products and experiences for kids, we’d love to hear from you. With your resumé, please include a cover letter telling us why you're interested in KiwiCo and what you think you'd bring to this position and to our team.
