KiwiCo  is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn; and arm them with the creative confidence and tools to change the world. Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work. 


Role and Responsibilities
KiwiCo is seeking an experienced Creative Operations Manager to build our operational capacity and bring more data insights into how we run our business.  We are looking for a Creative Operations Manager who is passionate about leading change, understands how to build positive working methods, and has a knack for efficiency.  You will have the ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage creative complex workflows, and impact the overall business. In this role, you will:

  • Drive operational standard methodologies to setup projects and teams for success

  • Contribute to strategic planning discussions with Editorial, Graphic Design, Sourcing and Product Design leadership

  • Partner with leadership to advance team initiatives and support effective decision making

  • Identify process improvements and initiate change

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals and objectives are clearly distilled and communicated

  • Identify areas of risk and solutions to mitigate

  • Own our systems, tools, and processes to drive creative productivity

  • Provide insights into team productivity and develop tools for resource planning and for tracking capacity


Required Qualifications

You must have a strong desire to learn and improve, with excellent organizational and communication skills. Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of operational experience in a creative setting.  

  • Strong understanding of collaborative, creative teams life cycles with the common roadblocks and challenges teams encounter.

  • Capacity to ask questions, synthesize critical information, put ideas into action, and share findings.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse partner group inputs.

  • Strong project management skills. You are a self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects. 

  • You are flexible and creative, with the ability to see a project from idea stage through completion. You are an innovative thinker and can solve problems creatively.  

  • You have an eagerness for new challenges, a growth oriented attitude and a knack for handling ambiguity.
