Role and Responsibilities:

KiwiCo is looking for an entrepreneurial and data-driven Associate Director to join its New Growth Initiatives team to help the company identify and capture new growth opportunities to build upon its successful subscription business.  Whether pursuing new customer segments, expanding our product offerings or developing ways to expand our market footprint, this position will act as part of a “start-up within a start-up” to push into new and innovative frontiers for the company and will rapidly drive initiatives from conception to maturity.  The Associate Director - New Growth Initiatives will:

  • Develop strategy and business cases for new growth opportunities for the company, conducting market/customer research and synthesizing findings to tee up and support executive decision making

  • Build executional plans to launch and ramp new initiatives, defining operational models, critical milestones and priorities that will lead to success 

  • Operationalize programs cross functionally, working with marketing, technology, product design, operations and customer care to pull together great experiences for customers with efficient execution

  • Uncover insights and opportunities for growth by performing analyses and deep dives using internal or external data sources

  • Manage to aggressive goals and KPI’s, striving for a full understanding of business levers and drivers to enact to achieve results

  • Report out on results to executives and cross functional partners regularly; feed learnings back to relevant stakeholders to constantly improve approach and tactics

  • Act as a tireless advocate for your initiative(s) across the company, constantly gathering input and support for your ideas and plans

Required Qualifications

Successful candidates for the Associate Director - New Growth Initiatives will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or critical thinking discipline required; MBA preferred but not required

  • 6+ years of experience working in e-commerce, retail, consumer technology or direct-to-consumer business; strategy consulting experience and/or start-up experience a plus

  • High intellectual curiosity and analytical skill. Ability to quickly come up to speed on complex business processes and generate creative solutions to tough problems.  

  • Familiarity with ecommerce metrics/drivers and growth tactics to drive awareness, consideration and conversion

  • A willingness and ability to build customer experiences from the ground up with a high bias for action, a desire to continuously test and learn, and the grit to manage through ambiguity

  • A history of achieving results and targets, understanding the business drivers and levers necessary to achieve outputs

  • Demonstrated ability to think and lead cross functionally, working with and through various teams to achieve a result; 

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas using frameworks and structured thinking; excellent presentation skills
