Role and Responsibilities
KiwiCo is looking for an entrepreneurial and customer-focused Associate Director/Director to join its New Growth Initiatives team to help rapidly grow sales in the educational segment while delivering on a great customer experience. This position will act as part of a “start-up with a start-up” to expand KiwiCo’s brand awareness among schools and enrichment programs, successfully convert them into customers and retain/grow accounts by ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently exceeded. Successful candidates in this role will:
Develop an overarching strategy for aggressively penetrating the education segment, including needle moving initiatives, required investments and key milestones for success
Define customer success and the “happy path” for KiwiCo’s educational customers, based on insights, data, research and customer feedback.
Manage a small but scrappy team of sales and customer success professionals to ensure that every customer interaction is value add, on message and on brand.
Work closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Technology and Operations to build out and constantly improve upon the right customer flows and experiences.
Provide input into Product development efforts to ensure KiwiCo products meet the needs of educators and program directors in a variety of learning contexts.
Look for opportunities to partner with influential players in the educational community to grow KiwiCo’s awareness and presence in the market.
Build quarterly executional plans; manage to aggressive goals and KPI’s including sales, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency metrics.
Report out on plans, issues and results to executives and cross functional partners.
Uncover insights and opportunities for growth by performing analyses and deep dives using internal or external data sources
Act as a tireless advocate for your initiative(s) across the company, constantly gathering input and support for your ideas and plans
Successful candidates for the Associate Director/Director of Growth, Schools & Groups will have the following skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred but not required
8+ years of experience working in e-commerce, retail, consumer technology or direct-to-consumer business; education or ed-tech experience a big plus
High intellectual curiosity and problem solving skills. Ability to quickly come up to speed on complex business processes and generate creative solutions to tough problems
A willingness and ability to build customer experiences from the ground up with a high bias for action, a desire to continuously test and learn, and the grit to manage through ambiguity
A history of achieving results and targets, understanding business drivers and levers necessary to achieve outputs
Experience managing and developing high performing teams; experience with sales, customer success and customer support functions a plus
Demonstrated ability to think and lead cross functionally, working with and through various teams to achieve a result;
Ability to communicate complex ideas using frameworks and structured thinking; excellent presentation skills
