We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn. We offer a subscription service that delivers curated hands-on projects to kids. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our offices are located in Mountain View, within walking distance from the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work.
Role and Responsibilities:
KiwiCo is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Account Manager to help drive medium to large Educational account sales across the full range of the KiwiCo product portfolio. The Account Manager will be primarily responsible for refining and executing a sales process to convert inbound inquiries and leads into orders and/or nurturing and growing sales from existing account relationships. Primary responsibilities will include:
Helping to build and refine the inbound sale process that provides a great experience for potential and existing customers
Testing sales collateral in-market and continuously adding and improving to the portfolio of sales tools over time
Advising and guiding potential customers to the right products and solutions based on their unique needs
Delivering accurate quotes and pricing within company guidelines and approvals
Closing and processing sales and following up to ensure customer needs are met
Working with finance to set up and service accounts including tax forms, vendor approvals, purchase orders and invoicing
Conducting relationship calls with existing large accounts to drive retention and increase sales penetration within larger organizations
Collaborating with business unit partners to align and execute an overall marketing strategy
Collaborating with customer care to efficiently manage order processing and on-going customer service needs
Delivering weekly/monthly internal sales and pipeline reports to management
The Account Manager will be compensated with a base salary and incentives tied to converted inbound leads and/or retention and growth of existing large accounts.
Successful Account Manager candidates will have the following skills and qualifications:
3+ years in a sales, customer success, or sales development role
Experience with CRM or customer management tools (Salesforce, Oracle/NetSuite or similar)
Proactive and self-motivated with a high bias for action and drive to crush targets
Demonstrated ability to develop trusted business relationships quickly and grow them over time
Passionate about customer empathy - ability to listen to and understand customer needs and creatively address them with solutions that exceed customer expectations
Effective and engaging written and verbal communication skills with both external customers and internal partners
Excellent organizational and time management skills -- detail oriented and meticulous about documenting and following up on customer interactions
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal partners
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment -- start up experience a plus
Experience working in the Education sector a plus
