Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

Summary of Position

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for supervising the development of reports that track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the organization in a manner that meets the needs of internal and external customers. This role supports clinical and non-clinical end users and requires liaising with departments throughout the organization to determine what their needs are, develop sound implementation plans, assign work appropriately and supervise them to ensure timely delivery of results. Critical to the success of this role is having a close working relationship working with the Quality and Informatics department to support federal, state and local reporting needs. As Kintegra Health participation in Quality Incentive projects increases, the Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all organizational needs for data are met. This extends to the development of appropriate means for gathering and disseminating reports (e.g. web applications, Tableau, email).

Education: Master’s degree in computer science or other related technical field

Experience Required: 5+ years’ work experience preferred

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Provide Tier 1 support to users of medical, dental, behavioral health and clinical pharmacy systems

  2. Build and edit database queries to yield accurate data

  3. Update and maintain provider and site information in EHR system

  4. Generate periodic reports from EHR software to support Kintegra Health clinical and quality reporting obligations

  5. Provide support as required during implementation of clinical projects

  6. Coordinate with IT department in troubleshooting and supporting clinical systems

  7. Assist with the development of internal applications

  8. Able to assist with scheduled systems updates 

  9. Publish information to internal portal 

  10. Other duties as assigned
