Registered Nurse

Job Description

About Us:

We are a medical practice specializing in musculoskeletal and neurological treatment. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with extensive knowledge of the muscular skeletal system of the body, as well as the nervous system. The candidate will assist the physician with Med-Legal exams, Electromyographic Testing & Nerve Conduction Studies, as well as reviewing medical records and writing chart notes.

Most of our patients have experienced a work related injury; consequently we deal with worker's compensation insurance. Labor Codes and MTUS Guidelines are primary resources for treatment. Our main office is located in Vallejo. Candidates must be willing to travel to offices in Novato, Santa Rosa, and San Francisco once or twice a month.

Responsibilities:

  • Document medical evaluations and treatments
  • Manage prescription flow
  • Transmit prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Prepare patients for medical procedures
  • Accurately record physical and neuro-diagnostic findings
  • Research medical documents
  • Organize anatomical imaging studies
  • Coordinate delivery of medical therapeutic 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Physiology, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of peripheral neurology
  • Basic knowledge of musculo skeletal anatomy
  • Experience editing Microsoft Word Documents
  • Experience navigating Macintosh platform
  • Experience in automating electronic documents
  • Possession of MacBook
  • CPR certified
  • Medical, EMT or similar experience
