POSITION SUMMARY 

The Sr. Director (SD) sets and cascades the global activation brand strategies to international regions to exceed financials, and is the advocate for the brand internationally. The SD serves as the international brand ambassador within the KKO (headquarter). International markets include: Europe, UK, South East Asia, Australia, Middle East, LATAM. SDs are responsible for the 360 brand global coordination to empower regions to in turn develop local relevant brand plans that deliver/ exceed sales objectives. SDs are responsible for managing the team to deliver day to day business management responsibilities, including leading global product plans, internal process to provide international markets global tools, merchandising and marketing.  SDs play key leadership role in the company, and coach, develop and motivate direct reports.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • International strategy, sales plans & budget 

  • Brand advocate and ambassador 

  • Global product and activation (in store and digital) 

  • Global communication and process 

  • Team leadership (6 team members) 

 

International strategy, sales plan & budget 

  • Align with GM and global team on short- and long-term International brand strategies to meet and exceed company objectives; partner with cross-functional team and markets to execute brand vision 

  • Lead monthly and quarterly sales monthly international sales presentation to executive team 

  • Lead and host bi-annual International Summits with country GMs 

  • Manage brand’s budget (travel, sampling, CAPEX) and ensure it supports market P&L 

 

Brand advocate and ambassador 

  • Advocate for brand at all times: protect brand DNA and ensure brand is brought to life in each market 

  • Ensure brand consistency internationally, co-develops and leads process to ensure global style guide are followed 

  • Host international brand moment (PR openings, country launch event openings), including on stage moments 

  • Continue to improve processes to maximize communication with brand founder 

 

Global Product and Activation (in store + digital) 

  • Inform and influence global team to ensure product pipeline meets and exceeds market demand 

  • Lead team to drive international product assortment, pricing and calendars for each market 

  • Partner with inventory team and markets to build global product forecast 

  • Lead team to partner with regions to build activation calendars to exceed financials 

 

Global communication and process 

  • Lead market communication to share product strategy and align on global asset needs 

  • Lead and partner with cross functional teams (Global team, inventory, education, creative, product development, and operations) on internal process to launch product on time and equip local markets with global assets  

 

Global support strategy 

  • Lead merchandising strategy and guide local markets 

  • Drive global sampling strategy 

  • Co - drive global artistry and education strategy 

  • Grow and optimize team to best serve regions 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree; 12+ years of related business experience, Beauty or Retail industry preferred. 

  • Passion for cosmetics / beauty industry. 

  • Knowledge and experience with International markets 

  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Thrives in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented. 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.  

  • Able to effectively present to and advocate for ideas with senior management. 

  • Comfort and poise when working with and presenting marketing strategies to executives and notable individuals. 

  • Able to build collaborative relationships and work cross functionally with sales, marketing, trade marketing, retail partners, demand planning and supply chain. 

  • Able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives.
