The Paralegal is a critical Partner for the fast-paced and growing Kendo Legal team.  The role will be responsible for all US and International Trademark Searches, Docketing and Maintenance, as well as General Assistance to the General Counsel.  This position is key to the continuing Evolution of the Kendo Legal function and Kendo Brands as a whole.



  • Conduct preliminary US and International screening searches
  • Analyze screening and search results as well as draft reports for Marketing teams and General Counsel
  • Docket Trademark deadlines and handle Trademark maintenance
  • Prepare and electronically file US Trademark applications and other Trademark-Related documents
  • Instruct and liaise with Foreign Counsel
  • Assist Attorneys in Trademark proceedings and Litigation, and with review of Product, Marketing and other materials for proper Trademark use
  • Advise In-House Clients regarding Trademark matters
  • Assist General Counsel and outside law firm with Anti-Counterfeiting matters, including Online Brand Protection, Global Customs Registrations, Product Authentication, coordinating Attorney/Law Enforcement trainings, Foreign Counsel reports and other related activities



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 4+ years’ experience including Domestic and International Searching, Clearance, Trademark Filings, Prosecution and Docketing
  • Anti-Counterfeiting and In-House Corporate experience preferred
  • Strong Business Acumen and ability to Analyze Data and think Strategically
  • Demonstrated ability to Drive Process Improvement, Growth and Cost Savings
  • Willingness to approach projects with a Can-Do Attitude and create reasonable process where none exists
  • Ability to work in a Fast-Paced environment and stay Focused, Calm and Positive
  • Must be Detail-Oriented, Proactive, Effective at Multi-Tasking and able to work well under pressure while working Independently as well as Collaboratively
  • Knowledge of and experience with Trademark Database Software, Microsoft Outlook and Word
