As a brand-dedicated Digital Copywriter, you will be part of a new team at Kendo designed to optimize brand and campaign content to drive the business. You thrive in a fast-paced digital environment and take pride in seeing the impact generated by your writing—in email subject lines, paid social posts, and more. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all the digital copy assets for your brand: Website updates, product pages (our own site plus other retailers’ digital assets, including, paid social, paid search, blog posts and email. You’re a collaborator with a team spirit. And of course, you have a passion for beauty and an extensive knowledge of the beauty industry.

The Digital Copywriter reports into the Sr. Copywriter, Digital


  • Partner closely with the Sr. Copywriter, Digital, to optimize brand & campaign copy for digital channels
  • You will provide all digital copywriting content, including website updates, product pages (for Kendo brands’ sites and other retailers, such as, email, paid social, blog posts and other SEO-related content
  • Implement the brand voice seamlessly across all digital channels
  • Attend project kick-offs, examine various types of project briefs, paying close attention to marketing objectives and copy requests
  • Execute clean, detail-oriented, on-brief copy
  • Partner with the design team to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and find integrated visual/copy solutions
  • Take ownership of deadlines and follows project schedules and updates
  • Stay current on beauty industry trends, social trends and competitors


  • College degree: BA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ copywriting experience
  • Experience writing across digital channels
  • Experience implementing learnings from digital metrics (email open rates, conversion, A/B testing, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with SEO and knowledge of search keyword tools a plus
  • Creative self-starter; ability to navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ease and polish in presenting in a variety of settings: small/large groups, managers, formal presentations
  • Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented; time management skills, ability to juggle priorities
  • Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
  • The drive to excel and succeed; self-motivated
  • Understanding of current fashion and beauty trends
  • Beauty experience preferred
