POSITION SUMMARY 

The Promotional Packaging Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the team in packaging efforts and is the stepping stone to a career in packaging development. This is a new role in a newly created function on the Packaging team, and flexibility regarding job tasks and processes is to be expected as department responsibilities evolve within the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the ideation, development and innovation for promotional items, including but not limited to bags, mirrors, stationery, apparel, and specialty PR/Influencer packaging
  • Create renderings/drawings that bring ideas and concepts to life
  • Work with manager and each of the brands’ marketing, brand, creative and packaging teams to ensure concepts, materials, and designs are on brand
  • Daily communication and management of programs between suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate and present sample submissions to teams; gather feedback to communicate to supplier
  • Own the project management timeline; track project status, call out and/or take action on urgent due dates and issues that affect the overall delivery date
  • Prep for internal and external meetings
  • Manage package testing as needed (internal, transit, drop, etc)
  • Oversee day-to-day operations (supplies, sample closet, shipping)
  • Research competitive landscape and maintain benchmarks
  • Provide general support to the packaging team
  • Additional projects as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS         

  • College degree and 1-3+ years of work experience or equivalent experience preferred
  • Passionate about cosmetics/beauty industry
  • Creative design experience and/or expertise (Adobe Creative, InDesign, etc)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Efficiency is your motto – exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to take initiative and juggle multiple priorities

  • Common sense, problem solving and analytical skills; keen attention to detail

  • Flexible and positive attitude; able to work independently and within teams
  • Knowledge of creative artwork and production terminology a plus
  • Makeup components (brushes, compacts, etc.) development experience a plus
