POSITION SUMMARY   

The Global Product Strategy Brand Manager is a product first leader that serves as the Fenty Beauty brand liaison for internal business partners. This person must be passionate about the beauty industry and product development, with excellent leadership and communication skills to deliver the best execution of the brand and products, working across product development, education, creative, inventory planning, marketing, international teams, e-commerce and operations.  The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver who is a self-starter, detail oriented, flexible, extremely organized, and can multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Product Strategy & Management 

  • Execute and manage development of new product innovation based on analytics and insights of market trends, competitive landscape, assortment gaps and new category opportunities while leveraging creativity and beauty intuition
  • Deliver global brand strategies and plans to all regions, including Americas and international teams and advise on activation
  • Manage cost and margin targets to meet financial objectives of the brand
  • Manage ongoing success of key core franchises to align with brand goals
  • Own Product & Packaging Briefs as well as timeline expectations
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal partners including Accounts (NA & International), Product Development, Copy, Planning, Digital, Packaging, Operations, Marketing, Creative & Education
  • Prepare, support and lead meetings 

Reporting & Research 

  • Provide competitive product recaps, ad-hoc reporting and margin analysis
  • Maintain key business documents: product calendars, assortment master, pricing master, briefs, sampling
  • Research global beauty competitive and product benchmark in order to identify product opportunities and trends 
  • Make strategic recommendations based on market research and sales trends 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related business experience, preferably in retail, beauty/fashion 
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for beauty products + knowledge of the ever-changing beauty industry
  • Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and attention to detail 
  • Proactive problem solver & out of box thinker 
  • Comfortable pulling reports and analyzing business metrics 
  • Strong project management and time management a must
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, entrepreneurial environment 
  • Proficiency with MS Office (strong PowerPoint and Excel skills)
