POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Manager will be responsible for driving the North America business for KVD Vegan Beauty. This individual is both a strategic thinker and a business driver, creating and executing short and long-term plans for North America. The role requires strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management & Activation

  • Drive short and long-terms strategies for North America retail channels to meet and exceed company objectives; partner with cross-functional partners to successfully execute
  • Build best in class partnerships with retail partners to effectively maximize working relationships and deliver on sales goals
  • Build strong and effective relationships with internal teams to bring to life 360 activations (Global Brand, Inventory Planning, Marketing, Education, Creative and Operations)
  • Be a brand advocate internally & externally: effectively story tell and sell the product pipeline
  • Own channel obsolescence strategy to minimize inventory liability
  • Lead presentation preparation for management meetings

Product Merchandising

  • Manage channel assortments to maximize productivity and minimize inventory liability; partner closely with Channel Planning to ensure retailer buys meet or exceed plan and are actionable
  • Lead content creation strategy for new launches and core products, including images, videos and educational content
  • Drive in-store visual merchandising for channel, optimizing for sales performance while balancing brand vision, client experience and budget

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide bi-weekly sales recaps, ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Be in-tune with the beauty retailer landscape and identify opportunities to further drive the business


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of related business experience, beauty experience preferred
  • Previous exposure to the North America market and/or Merchandising, Buying, or Account Management experience required; also open to those with experience in management consulting, investment banking or private equity with a passion for and understanding of the beauty industry
  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical and creative skills
  • Must be an excellent communicator (both in-person and digitally) with strong interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing and client service-oriented
  • Ability to own and drive projects with limited direction and to make good judgement calls
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities and work well with cross-functional partners
  • Highest level of professionalism at all times; calm under pressure
