POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Brand Manager is a business driver and serves as the brand liaison for internal and external business partners. International channels include: Sephora EU and LatAm. Associate Brand Managers are responsible for the day to day business responsibilities, executing merchandising and marketing plans and providing analytics to deliver and exceed the financial goals of the department.  Additionally, the Associate Brand Manager maintains brand relationships with cross-functional partners. Associate Brand Managers may have direct reports and lead development and training for these individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy and Management

  • Partner with Director and Brand Manager to develop short and long term Kendo strategies to exceed company objectives; Work with cross-functional partners to successfully execute plans
  • Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Partner with inventory planning and Director to provide forecasts for each season and adjust forecasts as needed based on sales results in order to achieve business goals
  • Act as brand liaison for internal teams supporting inventory planning, education, creative, product development, international, and operations
  • Maintain key business documents: promotional calendars, assortment master, newness calendar
  • Continue to improve comp and creative asset process and management
  • Prepare for and support meetings

Merchandising & Assortment Planning

  • Lead and execute seasonal merchandising updates from creative brief to in-store execution
  • Work closely with Director/ Brand Manager, visual merchandising partners, and external partners to bring brand story to life through in-store experience
  • Manage fixture and planogram process in partnership with Director/ Brand Manager

Reporting & Research

  • Provide weekly / monthly executive sales recaps, key initiatives performance and ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Research competitive and product benchmark in order to identify product opportunities and trends and make recommendations to drive the business

Asset management

  • Co-lead comps, gratis and sampling management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
  • 4+ years of related business experience, Beauty or Retail industry preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
  • Able to handle multiple priorities
  • Highest levels of professionalism at all times, calm under pressure
  • Team player
  • Project management expertise and experience a plus
  • Passion for cosmetics a plus
