POSITION: Assistant Manager, Lip Lab

STATUS: Full Time

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

LOCATION: Lip Lab, Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas, Nevada

OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting with the management of the Lip Lab Boutique x BITE.  This role will be responsible for supporting the team to create fun and feel good guest moments as part of our custom lipstick experience. Key responsibilities include coaching and motivating color experts to be equal parts color experts/guest host, and ensuring the boutique is always party ready. Additional responsibilities are support driving sales goals, managing daily operations, leading store events and upholding and reinforcing standard operating procedures. Leadership skills, a passion for artistry, hospitality and a desire for operational excellence is necessary to succeed in this role. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

CLIENT/BUSINESS

  • Guest engagement: confirming reservations, any follow-ups needed including timely response to guest feedback

  • Share business opportunities and trends with leadership and store team

  • Serve as Manager on Duty 

  • Perform services, as needed

  • Providing guests with best experience

  • Book, prepare, and host memorable parties for guests

  • Serve as a community liaison for brand and other businesses

PEOPLE

  • Support creating a strong, positive store culture based on and Lip Lab Brand DNA and Kendo values

  • Provide feedback to team, as needed, on client service and service execution

  • Training new hires and refreshing training for existing employees

  • Identify staff training needs to Store Manager

  • Assist with upholding all Lip Lab employee hours, scheduling, and ensuring proper breaks

  • Lead team as a role model and enable a teamwork mindset

STORE OPS

  • Open/close store

  • Manage daily schedules (flex down or calling on call shifts) when Store Manager is off

  • Attend Store Manager Monday calls if Store Manager is absent

  • Overall store operations

  • Ensuring store environment is clean and hygienic

  • Ensure teams are following all Standard Operating Practices and GMP Guidelines

  • Support writing weekly schedules


 REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years of retail management experience

  • Experience with leading an effective fast paced retail business

  • Specialized training in merchandising, sales, artistry an asset

  • Experience with supporting managers to build effective teams

  • Client focus mindset problem-solving abilities and comfort with ambiguity

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, payroll)

  • Must be able to plan, organize and track to completion multiple tasks

  • Open availability for full time (weekends mandatory)

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
