What You'd Do

The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales department meeting all sales, customer service and profit objectives; providing leadership, development and direction for the members of the sales & customer service team consisting of approximately twenty members; plus identifying new business opportunities and creating and implementing plans to harvest them.

Key Responsibilities Include

1.Show our customers the love at every opportunity.

2.Meet assigned sales, customer service and profitability goals.

3.Lead, mentor and train the team.

4.Build a highly effective team dynamic by handling programs and resolving issues including sales incentives plans, work allocation, customer problems, recruiting and hiring new team members.

5.Manage pricing and promotional programs within assigned guidelines. Continually evaluate, refine and improve our selling process and plan.

6.Evaluate selling tools including for customer contact, customer relationship management, and database, then recommend and implement improvements as appropriate.

7.Contribute to the excellent teamwork environment throughout the company.

You Should Bring

1.Consistent track record of achieving sales and profit goals in a rapidly-growing e-Commerce environment.

2.Ability to motivate and lead others to attain goals.

3.Excellent and enthusiastic people and customer service skills.

4.Strong written and oral communication skills.

5.Ability to work with others in a collegial, team oriented environment.

6.Deep knowledge of the biking or outdoor market.

Your Experience Should Include

1.Accomplishments in online retail.

2.Minimum of 5 years managing a team of 15-25 direct report sales people in a rapidly growing B2C company, including hiring, training, motivating and managing.

3.Delivering $10M-$20M annual offline revenue as a team leader.

4.Inside (phone) sales experience.

5.Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area is not required but helpful.
