Janrain is growing its Professional Services team and looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is a temporary position but will be considered for Contract to FTE Hire within six months. 

The Project Management (“PM”) Consultant works strategically with our customers and partners to develop and manage full project lifecycle, scope, budget, timeline, resources, deliverables, issues and escalations while continually setting customer expectations and transition to support after project go-live.  Internally, they coordinate with our Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Professional Services Consultants, Engineering, Customer Success Managers and Technical Support to ensure project deliverables are met.

Responsibilities

PM Consultants must meet critical customer requirements, including but not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Expected to meet billable hour goals.

  • Lead all aspects of new customer implementation process and on-boarding onto the Janrain Identity Cloud, including project kick off meetings, technical and training calls, and weekly status check-ins with the customer and/or partner.

  • Works with stakeholders in operational departments to continually enhance service quality standards to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.

  • Project Execution & Resource/Capacity Management: monitors, evaluates and guides project staff to meet project deliverables on time, within budget and at the highest quality standards.

  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that tasks are being completed by deadlines, and ensure that expectations are clear if timelines need to change.

  • Fosters a team environment and building cooperation among customers and project staff.

  • Build and manage processes to ensure ease of transition from prospect to fully implemented customer

  • Manages and resolves difficult customer situations.

  • Maintain project documentation within project management tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree; will consider 5 to 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

  • 5+ years of project management experience leading the delivery of enterprise level projects.

  • 3+ years experience managing projects involving relational databases.

  • Professional PMP certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred.

  • A strong technical orientation, exceptional planning and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail are all required.

  • Outstanding communication skills are required.

  • Proficient in using MS Office, Google suite, and Smartsheet.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously preferred.

  • Experience with implementing software solutions preferred.

  • Understanding of building integrations using REST based APIs preferred.

  • 20-30% travel is expected.
