Our eye and lip patches, sheet masks and mud masks are loved by customers and are currently sold at major department stores (Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Neiman Marcus etc.) and specialty beauty stores (Blue Mercury, ULTA etc.).  We have ambitious growth goals for the years ahead, and digital marketing will play a key role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, digitally savvy Social Media Manager to grow and manage our social community. You will be responsible for sourcing, curating, scheduling, and tracking content across all social platforms, serving as a liaison between Patchology and our brand fans, and working closely with our marketing team on a variety of projects. You must be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, have excellent communication skills and be able to express Patchology’s unique message creatively and effectively. 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain an editorial calendar for all social channels (including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter) and work with the creative team to create the content, publish and share additional engaging content
  • Get to know our customers intimately by engaging with them on a daily basis; communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Monitor follower base and identify potential partnerships or influencers we should consider collaborating with
  • Work closely with our Influencer Marketing Manager to support influencer and PR programs and initiatives through social media
  • Provide social support for our online retailers, working with our Sales team to understand priorities and needs
  • Engage with online influencers to solicit user generated product reviews, how-to’s, photo and video content, etc.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness such as social campaigns, promotions and contests
  • Source, manage, and report out on various subscription box opportunities
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design and work with Creative team to develop content (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, profile content, post content)
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, including by not limited to, trending hashtags, algorithm changes, top social influencers, trending content and topics

 

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or Coordinator
  • Experience in the beauty or related industry and a passion for beauty products
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Understanding of social media platforms and best practices
  • BS/BA degree in marketing or related field
  • Knowledge of social media management tools a plus (including but not limited to Hootsuite, Mention, Facebook Analytics, and Google Analytics
