Project Assistant supporting the EPA
Administrative | Washington, DC | Full Time | From $21.63 to $31.25 per hour
Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing federal contracting company seeking a Project Assistant on our contract supporting the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). In general, the work will involve document management responsibilities, including organizing records, entering information into agency software, and reviewing/correcting supporting documentation for the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) team. The Project Assistant needs to be technically savvy, experienced with creating Excel spreadsheets, and a quick learner on new software. This contract runs through the end of September with the possibility to extend.

LOCATION & HOURS: Fully onsite in NW Washington DC
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide support services for document and records management.
- Organize and prepare paper records for digitization.
- Operate electronic and hard copy data systems, including entering, uploading, and downloading data.
- Verify contents and edit documents and files, both hard-copy and electronic.
- Create, review, submit and track entries in the database application
- Provide related support services for document and records management activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a Public Trust Level background check
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of prior experience in an office environment. We will consider cumulative internship experience toward this minimum.
- Technically savvy with prior experience creating and formatting Excel documents
- This role requires the candidate to physically box up records. If hired, you should be able to reach, bend, and lift boxes of records as required.
- Knowledge of records management a plus
- Knowledge in or administrative support practices and correspondence procedures necessary for applying spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, required formats and style requirements to correct errors in prepared materials.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with management and staff at the highest levels of the Department, external government officials, and private industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Anticipated Pay Range: $21.63 to 31.25 per hour
