Heath Care Fraud Investigator - Government Contractor

Job Description

Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing federal contracting company seeking an experienced Health Care Fraud Investigator to support a federal government agency.

JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supports the planning and conduction of investigations.
  • Identify possible violations or causes of action, determines proof required to assist in affixing legal responsibility, and devises motioned for obtaining, preserving, and presenting such evidence.
  • Assists with the identification, locating, and interviewing of witnesses. Conducts surveillance of suspects with appropriate law enforcement agencies.
  • Researches and reviews laws, rules, regulations, and policies to determine whether healthcare billings were improper.
  • Traces funds derived from fraud and identified assets of subjects.
  • Prepared interim and final reports on progress of investigations.
  • Assists in preparation for litigation and trial.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, & SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement/criminal justice, accounting, finance or related field required.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of federal law enforcement experience, with demonstrated experience in healthcare fraud investigations.
  • Experience in testifying in court matters.
  • Understands the rules of evidence and civil/criminal procedure, the admissibility and inadmissibility of evidence, the elements of the violations(d) under investigation.
  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion to work with highly confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and to work as a team player in a professional environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
