Content Writer: Web & Social Media

Job Description

This writer will use their best-in-class written communication skills to craft top-quality content for social media, websites, email, and other web properties. They will be our first responder on social media, using their deep understanding of human relationships to increase engagement on social channels by solving problems and bringing value to our audience.

Main Duties

  • Serve as the day-to-day manager of Insureon's social media properties by engaging with and providing value to our target audience.
  • Increase engagement rates across social media platforms.
  • Amplify and drive traffic to Insureon content by social promotion.
  • Collaborate with the content team to develop and write content for various web properties (website, email, newsletter, blog, etc.).
  • Incorporate keyword research into content creation and social listening.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree related to English, Communications, Writing, or Marketing
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Instinctive understanding of relationship management / excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write a high volume of quality content quickly
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to new assignments and incorporate diverse specifications
  • Ability to collaborate on big-picture projects
  • Ability to understand and apply new concepts quickly (i.e., fast learner)
  • Experience creating and implementing SEO copywriting best practices (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of HTML and content management systems (preferred)
  • Experience with insurance a plus
