The Director of Sales Operations will be responsible for leading and managing all Sales Operations functions and for maximizing revenue growth for assigned segment through the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sales and service programs and initiatives. They must be able to identify process improvements in reporting, analytics, forecasting and performance metrics. They will develop, direct, and analyze programs and retention strategies for maximum customer satisfaction and retention.
Work closely with VP of Global Field Operations to drive strategy
Analyze performance metrics data and leverage it to effectively coach and develop sales team
Manage the creation, optimal allocation and oversight of equitable sales compensation / quotas, working directly with Finance
Oversee one Sales Operations direct report, with potential to grow the team in the future
Responsible for developing and implementing new processes for effective and efficient team operations
Identify opportunities and weaknesses within territories and make proposals to create value and increase operational efficiency
Complete sales forecasts and sales activity reports and presentations in a timely manner
Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers
Ensure alignment of territories/divisions/regions and maximizes effectiveness of the sales force
Interface with Marketing to ensure operational alignment between marketing programs and the field
Work with Professional Services on the creation and scaling of service offerings and programs
Implements enabling technologies, including CRM, to field sales teams. Monitors the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data. Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the firm’s technology investments.
Automates the Quote to Cash process.
B.A. degree required, MBA degree a strong plus
10+ Years experience in a sales or sales operations function with a high-tech company
Familiarity with reporting and process management
Extremely strong analytical skills
Start up and SaaS experience strongly preferred
Meaningful experience managing personnel and leading the overall development of department strategy
