Senior General Ledger Accountant
G&A | Palo Alto, CA | Full Time
- Update monthly Balance sheet account reconciliation Excel files and prepare Journal entries; Fixed assets, depreciations, Lease commitment, Allowance for doubtful account, Unbilled receivable, prepaid, Intercompany reconciliation, Commission amortization, Software capitalization amortization, accrued liabilities, Deferred Rent, etc.
Reconcile International subsidiaries transactions; prepare elimination and consolidation financials.
Update Consolidated Financial reporting in Excel file.
Prepare sales and use taxes in various states using QuickBooks and NetSuite.
Prepare Business property tax and other tax filings as required.
Review and enter sales orders, contracts into NetSuite in accordance with the US GAAP.
Ensure revenue is recognized appropriately according to US GAAP.
Reconcile revenue, deferred revenue and unbilled analysis and prepare journal entries for month end.
Update Revenue, Deferred revenue and Billing forecast files.
Preparation of revenue recognition memos
Prepare PBC schedules and support for year-end audit
Perform accounting research and write accounting memos to document unusual and/or significant accounting transactions and company positions
Year-end audit preparation and support
Special projects and other ad hoc assignments as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with minimum 5 years in public accounting and working within high- tech corporate environment.
- CPA or CPA in progress preferred
Experience with NetSuite Advance Revenue module and One World International consolidation.
Strong Microsoft Office; advance Excel level (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Extensive experience in revenue recognition, international accounting, consolidation, and tax compliance.
Strong general ledger accounting knowledge required and experience with preparation of GL account reconciliations.
Prior Big 4 or Mid-Tier Audit experience strongly preferred
High attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills, combined with good business judgment.
Team player, self-starter, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
