Product Marketing Manager

Marketing | Palo Alto, CA | Full Time

Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate, metrics-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented Product Marketing Manager to join the growing Instart team to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with the buying audience.


  • Conduct market and customer research to gather data and insight about target personas, buyer needs, and the purchasing decision process for the product

  • Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with the buying audience and produce the messaging source document

  • Create collateral such as white papers, blogs, data sheets, solution guides, competitive documents, videos, technical presentations, and more to support sales efforts

  • Manage launch planning and orchestrate execution of product releases

  • Train and enable sales teams to understand the buyer value proposition as well as the features and capabilities of the product

  • Serve as SME and interface with industry analysts and press to showcase Instart leadership in our markets

  • Support marketing activities and assist with tradeshows and conferences

  • Develop customer references and case studies for external and internal use

  • Conduct win/loss interviews and perform ongoing analysis to determine the level of customer product adoption and provide feedback to the product team 

  • Monitor and report on the performance of products in the market and communicate the results of related sales and marketing efforts 

  • Research competitive and complementary technologies to compare and differentiate them to Instart offering as well as understand their relative impact on our solutions


  • 5+ years of enterprise software product marketing or similar experience

  • Technical experience highly desired

  • Expertise at understanding customers and their needs and developing crisp content that resonates with target audiences

  • Have a passion for enterprise software, application infrastructure, end-user computing, and communication and developer tools

  • An analytical mindset with the ability to understand and simplify complex concepts

  • Stellar interpersonal and writing skills with a high attention to detail

  • Able to collaborate effectively across a rapidly growing, global organization

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, venture-backed startup environment

  • Have a passion for data and metrics-driven reporting

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
