Job Description

InsideUp in San Diego is seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper to assist in-office with month end account reconciliation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to work in an entrepreneurial environment and who is able to respond to changes in priorities. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage workload effectively, and handle several accounting projects at one time and provide status to responsible parties. There will be 8-12 hours per week in our office over two days per week, with a flexible schedule.

InsideUp ( operates an online advertising/lead generation platform that’s dedicated solely to serving the needs of business service providers and their potential customers. The San Diego-based company provides B2B business service firms (e.g., merchant accounts, payroll, loans, phone services, etc.) with qualified and verified sales leads delivered in real time. InsideUp’s platform also helps companies that are seeking business services to locate the right service provider for their specific needs. This platform combines next generation business-matching and prospect-profiling technologies with powerful search engine, social media and lead generation technologies.


-Managing month end account reconciliation schedules and journal entries.
-Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions.
-Creating customer invoices.
-Conducting full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.

-Executing accounting tasks via QuickBooks.
-General bank reconciliation
-Booking manual journal entries into the accounting system.


-Minimum of 2-4 years experience as an independent bookkeeper.
-Must be extremely proficient in QuickBooks.
-Competent in bank, credit card and paypal reconciliation.
-Strong vendor/ AP management.
 -Excel competency.
-Must understand basic financial/payroll statements.
-Proactive collection skills a plus.

-Accounting degree highly preferred

-Self starter who can work with little or no supervision.
-Energetic and detailed oriented with a respect for confidentiality.
