Located in the Jurupa Valley, The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club features a full-service restaurant, wedding and events, and catering programs. Join The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club staff and work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team to launch our beautiful new restaurant.

THE ROLE:

The Restaurant at Oak Quarry Golf Club is seeking a skilled and creative Bartender/Mixologist with extensive experience in crafting cocktails. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mixology, a passion for creating innovative drinks, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires someone who can elevate the bar experience through expertly prepared beverages and engaging interactions with patrons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cocktail Creation: Design and craft a variety of cocktails, including classics and signature drinks. Experiment with ingredients to develop new recipes that align with the bar’s theme and customer preferences.
  • Drink Preparation: Accurately prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Ensure consistency in taste and presentation for every drink served.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service by interacting with customers, making recommendations based on their preferences, and ensuring a memorable bar experience.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Manage the inventory of spirits, mixers, and other bar supplies. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and reduce waste by efficiently using ingredients.
  • Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. Ensure that all bar tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale of alcohol. Ensure responsible serving practices, including verifying identification and monitoring alcohol consumption.
  • Training and Mentorship: Share knowledge of mixology and bartending techniques with junior staff. Assist in training new bartenders to uphold the bar’s standards.
  • Event and Menu Planning: Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute bar-related events, promotions, and seasonal menu changes.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner. Make quick decisions to maintain a positive atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, with a strong background in mixology and cocktail creation
  • Skills: Proficient in mixology techniques, strong knowledge of a wide range of spirits, liqueurs, and mixers. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Certifications: [Insert required certifications, e.g., Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Mixology Certification, if applicable.]
  • Personality: Creative, outgoing, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization.
  • Frequently stand and walk; talk and hear. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle; taste or smell; reaches with hands or arms. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Required: Active Riverside County Food Handlers Card.
