Strategic Communications Manager – Special Projects Manager I

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
• Writes, produces and works with the Creative Director and Marketing Manager to oversee the creation and distribution of all print communications such as newsletters, member materials, campaign communications, branding materials, etc.
• Participates in developing and executing project communication plans for Leadership Team. These functions include establishing action assignments, tracking program, establishing priorities, reviewing recurring activity reports and reporting progress and results.
• Researches and writes communication plans; executes all or portions of plans, including assisting in arranging teleconferences, making presentations and convening meetings.
• Assists in coordinating internal communication programs and develops new ones using technology/electronic media such as video, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
• Works with Audio/Visual and Information Technology staff in developing and executing programs.
• Participates in the development and implementation of a proactive media plan.
• Researches and writes press releases and fact sheets within area of specialty; Develops media information kits as needed; Coordinates distribution of publicity.
• May supervise freelancers and support services if/when needed.
• Works with the Communication Team and company leadership to identify and manage communication needs.
• Participates in cross-functional meetings with Service Areas, Business Support Teams, etc.
• General oversight and management of program deliverables, such as writing, editing, approving, and/or dissemination of monthly/quarterly/service area-wide communications, campaigns and webinars; yearly planning and execution, Creation, Distribution
• Ensures that the correct/current branding is in place on all materials – printed, electronic, and customer-facing websites. Maintain version control, keeps brand guidelines and templates, and checks content for needed updates to information and research as applicable.
• Responds to internal/external customer phone calls, emails, etc. within 1 business day.
• Seeks opportunities to learn the latest updates in the field of marketing, program/services branding and communications
• Functions as a liaison and a gatekeeper and bridges the connections between all internal and external customers, products and services, teams, and vendors.
• Shares customer information and updates in a timely manner to promote accurate billing and business processes, thereby supporting a high level of satisfaction and customer retention.
• Maintains all pertinent service delivery documentation and administrative documentation and report this information routinely to leadership or to other stakeholders upon request.

Minimum Qualifications
• BA/BS in Public Relations, Mass Communications or Marketing, required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in public relations or marketing communications. An equivalent combination of experience and education is acceptable. Health care experience is helpful
• Experience using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, tele and video-conferencing tools
• Knowledge of all aspects of marketing and communication including creation and revision of materials, branding, customer onboarding, and campaign delivery, graphic design support, writing and editing, and project management.
• Strong communication skills and abilities - both oral and written. Skill in communicating and collaborating effectively with a variety of audiences, including customer points of contact, management, and support staff.
• Communication skills include the ability to present successful orientations and trainings as well as present recommendations to individuals, groups, and boards on a broad spectrum of topics related to company’s mission, policies, and procedures in a style that is appropriate and understandable to the target audience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and is accustomed to working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail are essential.
• Good writing, editing, analytical and proofreading skills are a must, as is the ability to track down information from appropriate sources
